My very first blog. I feel so....connected. I'm not sure I have anything of worth or relevance to put in this blog, but I figure eventually someone's going to ask me if I have a blog, and I'd like to be able to say yes.
Things That Don't Suck:
sketching
art (the viewing or creating thereof)
cooking and baking
my job (most days)
my hair (I'm having a good hair year, apparently.)
the holidays
coffee
Things That Suck:
the weather (it's wrong to sweat in November)
my job (some days)
my level of fitness (or the lack thereof)
that I don't have much fun these days
I think I'm having a mid-life crisis. Is that possible at the ripe old age of almost 35? Even though I bow down to Prozac and its ability to keep me mostly sane, I find myself discontented with a lot these days. I feel that I don't have much that I'm looking *forward* to...if that makes sense. Even though I am mostly happier than I've ever been before, you'd have to know the depths of *un*happy I've been to realize that still leaves quite a bit of room for improvement.
I'm listening to a lot of Coldplay. I've connected with it on a level I never expected to. I don't generally like intellectual, deep, meaningful music as much as I like "Shake My Tailfeather" music. I think my tastes are maturing. I'm actually listening to jazz. (Which is another reason I think I might be having a mid-life crisis.)
This is enough for my first try. I don't want to pull a synapse.
